Jovaun Tomlinson's 39-yard fourth-quarter touchdown gave Baldwin a 14-point lead as the Bruins (5-2) held on to beat undefeated Oceanside, 28-21, Saturday in Nassau I.

Tomlinson had 176 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries and Treyvon Mask 134 yards and a score on 14 attempts. Johnathan Robinson had eight tackles, and Matt Guilfoyle and Ryan Mahoney had seven each.

Syosset 40, Hicksville 6: Joe Majoy threw for two touchdowns and ran for another for Syosset (4-3). He kicked off the scoring with a 30-yard TD run. Majoy's first scoring pass went to Tim Lafferty, who caught it short but broke a few tackles on the way to a 58-yard score and a 27-0 lead. Joe Morris scored twice in the first, a 30-yard rush and a 55-yard punt return. Hicksville (0-7) scored on Johnny Pascullo's 72-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Uniondale 27, Hempstead 8: William Stanback went 7-for-9 for 179 yards and two TDs and added 110 rushing yards on 16 carries, including a 40-yard TD run in the second quarter for Uniondale (4-3). William Jacobs had three catches for 75 yards, including a 26-yard TD pass to open the scoring, and Tyler Desire had a 68-yard TD to make it 14-0. Raekwon Jackson had eight tackles and an interception and Jordan Hamilton had five tackles.

Farmingdale 42, Freeport 7: Quarterback Joe Valente ran for three touchdowns and threw for one to lead Farmingdale (6-1). Valente opened the game with back-to-back scoring runs, from 3 and 32 yards, to give Farmingdale a 14-0 lead. After Matt Dittmeier's 15-yard scoring run made it 21-0 at the end of the first, Valente hit Rich Morris for an 18-yard TD pass on third-and-goal early in the second quarter to make it 28-0. Valente then closed out the first half with a 22-yard TD run to put the game out of reach. Valente had 106 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries, and went 3-for-4 passing for 86 yards and a score.
