FIRST OVERTIME GAME IN LIC HISTORY
Island Trees and Mt. Sinai played 48 minutes of scoreless football in the first ever Class IV Long Island Championship. They would need overtime to decide the winner. Island Trees scratched out a touchdown thanks to quarterback Joe Kaiser, who replaced senior starter Stu Wexler. Island Trees converted a two-point conversion on a fake extra-point attempt.
