Matt Walter's two TDs lead East Islip past Copiague

Matt Walter carried eight times for 132 yards and two touchdowns for host East Islip in a 49-0 win over Copiague in Suffolk II football on Friday night.

Andre Deegan added 92 yards and two TDs on 13 carries for the Redmen (1-0). Casey Stengel had seven tackles, including two for losses, and Kieren Neefeldt scored on a 6-yard fumble return for East Islip.

Babylon 44, East Hampton 7: Jake Carlock scored on a 45-yard TD pass from Nick Santorelli and a 46-yard interception return for Babylon (1-0) in its Suffolk IV opener. Santorelli completed 7 of 11 passes for 143 and a TD. Brian LosKamp had 1.5 sacks in the win.

MacArthur 28, Westbury 0: Tom Kelleher had 152 yards of total offense and four TDs for MacArthur (1-0) in Nassau II. Gerard Cunningham's 34-yard TD pass to Kelleher gave MacArthur a 21-0 lead. Joe Tangredi's 10 tackles led the MacArthur defense.

Seaford 41, Island Trees 0: Kyle Kolodinsky had four TDs, two rushing and two receiving, and 104 yards of total offense to lead Seaford (1-0) in Nassau IV. Nicky Fischetti had 20 carries for 170 yards and a TD. Pete Adorno threw two TD passes, James O'Hagan had nine tackles and a fumble recovery and Zach Antonette had nine tackles with a sack.
