Paul Cavanagh carried 17 times for 125 yards and a touchdown as Port Jefferson topped Southampton, 25-6, in Suffolk IV football yesterday.

Tyler Daccordo added 92 yards and a score on 15 carries, Nick Iaello had a TD and 42 yards on seven carries and Justin Jones completed a touchdown pass to Dylan Wennerod. for Port Jefferson (2-5). Ryan Woodward made 15 tackles and two sacks, while Hunter Reiter had two sacks and Connor Guerin added nine stops and a fumble recovery. Southampton falls to 2-5.

Glenn 41, East Hampton 7: Matt Shanerman ran for 186 yards and had touchdown runs of 45, 11 and 55 yards and threw for another score for Glenn (3-4). Mike Tufano caught two passes for 64 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown reception from Tom Balacki. Brodie King had six tackles, a sack and forced and recovered a fumble. East Hampton is 2-5.

Hampton Bays 54, Wyandanch 0: Taylor Catz had three touchdowns on a 33-yard run, and punt returns of 56 yards and 60 yards for Hampton Bays (6-1). Lucas Sokal returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown and made nine tackles, including two sacks in the win. Wyandanch is 2-5.

Mount Sinai 41, Bayport-Blue Point 6: Mark Donadio ran for 189 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries as Mt. Sinai (6-1) rushed for 316 total yards. Billy Tartaglia completed 5-of-6 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown, which came at the end of the second quarter. Cole Williams had seven tackles and Ryan Clark had six tackles. Bayport-Blue Point falls to 2-5.Center Moriches 21, Greenport/Southold 14: Sophomore Tyrell Thomas completed 13 of 22 passes for a career-high 203 yards and two touchdowns and ran 13 times for 82 yards and a score to lead Center Moriches (1-6) on Friday night. Greenport/Southold had an opportunity to tie the score with under 2:00 left and drove to Center Moriches' 20-yard line, but the Red Devils forced a turnover on downs with 50 seconds left to seal the win. Zach Brady had five receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown and Ryan Lewis had 16 tackles, a sack and two tackles for losses. Greenport/Southold is 0-7.Mercy 27, Stony Brook 14: Asaiah Wilson completed 5-of-7 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns and had five carries for 22 yards and a score for Mercy (6-1) on Friday night. Reggie Archer carried 24 times for 162 yards and a touchdown for Mercy, which totaled 376 yards, including 212 in the first half. Jack Strnad had nine tackles and a sack, Pat Marelli added eight tackles and Tom Kent, Ray Ellis and Bryan Murray each had a sack. Wilson and Paolo Foscolo each had an interception in the win. Stony Brook is now 5-2.
