Peter Latorre returned a fumble 17 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the game for Sewanhaka, which never looked back in a 23-6 win over Manhasset yesterday in a Nassau III football game.

Audrigue Jean-Louis' sack of Manhasset's Tommy Duran in the end zone with six minutes left in the third made it 16-0 for Sewanhaka (1-1). Jake Mellen threw for 252 yards and a touchdown, DeAnte Gonzalez rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries and cornerback Elijah Smith made eight tackles. Manhasset is 0-2.

Floral Park 27, New Hyde Park 0: Josh Sanders ran for 135 yards on 28 carries and three touchdowns for Floral Park (1-1). Connor Vidasolo had 12 carries for 62 yards and completed 3 of 4 passes for 89 yards in the win. Conor Horan had nine tackles, Alec Ascani added eight tackles and a sack and Brian Barry made five tackles and an interception. NHP drops to 0-2.

Plainedge 55, Lynbrook 33: Davien Kuinlan rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries to lead Plainedge (2-0). Joe Bouse blocked a punt that was returned by Gianfranco Soriente 32 yards for a score. Soriente added 93 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Lynbrook is 1-1.

Bethpage 42, Division 0: Yoannis Efstathiou ran for 136 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries for Bethpage (2-0). Christian Ferruzza completed 6 of 7 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 45 yards. Mark Pikounis and Michael Sforza each had a touchdown reception, while Jason Bier and Jake Einbinder each had an interception in the win. Division is 1-1.

Hewlett 47, Valley Stream South 12: Tredd Smith recovered a blocked punt in the end zone and picked up a fumble in the end zone to lead Hewlett (1-1). His fumble recovery gave the Bulldogs a 20-0 lead early in the second quarter. Jeremy Lewguillow ran for 133 yards, Jeffrey Rizzo rushed for 129 yards and Messiah Clark had 10 tackles and two sacks in the win. South is 0-2.
