William Stanback scored on a 1-yard touchdown plunge with 25 seconds remaining to lift Uniondale over Freeport, 35-28, Saturday in Nassau I football.
Stanback, playing quarterback for the first time this season, rushed for 231 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries to lead the Knights (2-3). Stanback scored on runs of 61, 56, 10 and 1. Stanback also had 10 tackles had two interceptions, returning one 90 yards for a score. Jordan Hamilton made 12 tackles for Uniondale. Freeport is 0-5.
Syosset 7, Plainview JFK 0: Jake Gross capped a 75-yard, 14-play drive with a 4-yard TD run with 20 seconds left in the second quarter for Syosset (2-3). Anthony Carcietta intercepted at Plainview JFK's 40 with 1:14 left to seal the win. Tim Lafferty and Joe Morris also had interceptions, and Bradley Balogh and E.J. Aronson each recovered a fumble. Plainview JFK is 2-3.Farmingdale 44, Hempstead 12: Curtis Jenkins ran for 116 yards and three TDs and he had a 67-yard punt return for a TD to lead Farmingdale (5-0). Chad Tomassetti had six tackles for the Dalers. Hempstead is 1-4.

Oceanside 28, Massapequa 24: Tom Capone's 6-yard TD run in the final minute was the game-winner for Oceanside (5-0). Capone was 17-for-30 passing for 233 yards and he ran for 159 yards and a TD. Anthony Pintabona had 12 catches for 192 yards and two TDs. Vassilli Grigorakos had 12 tackles and an interception. Massapequa is 3-2.
Valley Stream Central 27, Hicksville 0: Deshawn Newton ran for 58 yards and scored three TDs for Valley Stream Central (2-3). Chad Blaize added 108 rushing yards and Chris Robert made six tackles. Hicksville is 0-5.
