Yoannis Efstathiou's scoring run, Piero Mannino's kick lead Bethpage

Yoannis Efstathiou scored on a 12-yard run and Piero Mannino kicked the extra point with five minutes left in the game to give Bethpage a 23-22 win over Manhasset Saturday in Nassau III football. John Farrell scored on a 61-yard punt return and had seven tackles for Bethpage (3-5). Charles Bachmeier sealed the game with a sack on fourth down. Manhasset is 4-4.

Glen Cove 34, North Shore 7: Ryan Perkins had eight carries for 104 yards and three TDs and had an interception for Glen Cove (7-1). Perkins scored twice on 1-yard runs and added a 67-yard scoring run with 3:15 left. Will Kassar added 93 yards on 13 carries and two TDs. North Shore is 4-4. Division 35, Carle Place/Wheatley 18: Brian Pedersen rushed for 231 yards on 18 carries and scored three TDs and Jim Schweitzer rushed for 87 yards on 22 carries and scored two TDs for Division (2-6). Anthony Semonella had nine tackles and Justin Wirtz seven. Carle Place/Wheatley is 0-8.

Valley Stream South 26, South Side 0: Nnamdi Nwaigwe carroed just three times, but scored twice, once on a 47-yard TD run touchdowns to lead Valley Stream South (5-3). With the Falcons leading 12-0 with 4:50 left in the fourth, Nwaigwe broke the game open on a 31-yard TD run. He finished with 84 yards. Joe Reichert caused a fumble that set up Nwaigwe's second touchdown and led the team with 12 tackles and a sack. Phil Crisci also had 12 tackles and Chris Infantino added eight. South Side is 4-4. Lawrence 34, Floral Park 7: Joe Capobianco was 12 of 17 for 227 yards and three touchdowns and ran seven times for 32 yards to lead Lawrence (8-0). He has 26 passing touchdowns this season. Eddie Robinson caught eight passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Robinson now has 14 receiving touchdowns, which ties two other players for the Nassau county record. Simon Jones had nine tackles and three interceptions, including one returned for a 44-yard score. John Perrone had six tackles and two sacks and Matt Leone had six tackles and a sack. Floral Park is 3-5.
