Not everything can make it into the game story. Here is some additional insight from Manhasset's 58-46 win over Great Neck North on Monday which gave Mansset third place in Conference A-III. Manhasset's stands were crowded with fans and opposing coaches from several Class A schools who came to scout potential playoff opponents.

1. St. Anthony’s (17-4): The Friars pulled off a huge upset, defeating Riverdale Baptist 49-48 in the Mecca Challenge at the Gauchos Gym in the Bronx. Chastity Taylor (above) had 19 points, including the game-winning free throw with 2.3 seconds left, and added 13 rebounds as St. Anthony’s upset Riverdale Baptist (MD) 49-48 at The Mecca Challenge at the Gauchos Gym in the Bronx. Taylor made a pair of free throws to tie the game with 10.3 seconds left. Riverdale Baptist is ranked No. 2 nationally by USA Today.

Chastity Taylor admits free throw shooting has been a problem for her this season. In a big spot against Riverdale Baptist, which is the No. 2 team in the country, the St. Anthony’s sophomore guard was clutch.

Half Hollow Hills East had a daunting task to try and clinch a playoff berth. The Thunderbirds had to defeat second-place Northport or first-place Lindenhurst. They secured the playoff berth with a 35-34 upset win over Northport tonight.
