Madden 25 cover voting: Ray Rice reaches Sweet 16
Sure, you're probably well aware that Florida Gulf Coast is in the Sweet 16. But did you know Ray Rice is there, too?
The Baltimore Ravens' Pro Bowl running back and former New Rochelle High School star has advanced to the Sweet 16 in the online voting to determine who will don the cover of the Madden 25 video game when it is released in August.
In the first round, Rice cruised past Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, 82 percent to 18 percent. Rice then topped Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant in the second round, 71 percent to 29 percent.

His third-round opponent will be much tougher, however. Rice faces Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, who won Rookie of the Year honors last season and set a single-season record for jersey sales, according to ESPN.
As the popular video game celebrates its 25th anniversary, there's a new wrinkle in the voting: Hall of Famers such as Joe Montana, Barry Sanders and Jerry Rice are still alive to be the cover boy.
