Anytime the top three teams in League VII play each other, it has been a thrilling game to the end. It was no different tonight as host Mattituck rallied to beat Center Moriches, 55-53. Both teams are 5-1 in league play. Center Moriches won the first game between the two teams.

Liz Lasota hit a layup with 1:05 left to give Mattituck a 54-53 lead. Stephenie Pisacano went 1 of 2 from the free throw line with eight seconds left to make it 55-53. Pisacano had eight of her 18 points in a 17-14 fourth quarter for Mattituck, which trailed by seven with 4:31 left in the game. Emily Ianno had 18 points and 17 rebounds in the win.
