UPDATE: Congratulations to Division,  the Nassau County Class A Champion. The Blue Dragons defeated Lynbrook 41-31. Nicolette Parmese and Taylor Malings each had 12 points to lead Division.

Hello everyone.

START OF FOURTH QUARTER: Division 39, Lynbrook 21

Division continues to dominate on the boards. Parmese has nine rebounds to lead the team. The Dragons closed out that quarter on a 13-2 run. It's not over, but if Division keeps it up, it soon will be.

6:10 Still 39-21

5:44: Division 39, Lynbrook 23: Shannon Doody hits a two.

There's 4:32 left and Doody still has the fourth quarter's only basket. Time is running out for Lynbrook.

3:46: Division 39, Lynbrook 25: Doody hits another. Despite being outscored 4-0 nothing in the quarter, Division's defense is looking awesome. They're so tall and leave virtually no holes in their coverage.

3:33: Division 39, Lynbrook 26: Jen Faye hits a free throw.

2:30: Division 39, Lynbrook 28: Jessy Rosen hit a two. Lynbrook's on a 7-0 run.

1:39: Division 40, Lynbrook 31: Rosen just hit a layup AND-1. Then sinks the free throw. It's a 10-0 run for Lynbrook. If there were five quarters, I'd give the Owls the edge.

1:08: Lynbrook gets the jump ball and calls a timeout. We have a game here folks. Lynbrook fans are first bumping. They clearly like the "situation" the team is facing.

0:42: Division got possesion back and 20 seconds ticked off.

 0:29.5: Lynbrook fouled. That's only No. 4.

0:25.9: Three seconds and three fouls later, Lynbrook's finally in the penalty. Parmese will shoot 1-and-1.

Division 41, Lynbrook 31: Parmese hits both shots. Division's first points of the frame.

2:43: Division 35, Lynbrook 19: Taylor Malings just increased the lead. She's now the game's leading scorer, with 12 points. Division has outscored Lynbrook 9-2 since the break and is now on a 9-0 run.

1:57: Division 37, Lynbrook 19: It's Kristen Stuart again.

1:36: Division 37, Lynbrook 21: Jessy Rosen just halted an 11-0 Division run.

0:15: Division 39, Lynbrook 21: Kristen Costello for two.

HALFTIME: Division 26, Lynbrook 17.

Both crowds are extremely loud and each school has brought a raucous student section.

Turnovers have killed Lynbrook early on. The Owls had seven in the second quarter and Division opened the frame on an 8-0. Taylor Malings has been on fire from outside, hitting three threes for Division. Take away those shots and this game might be tied. Division's been crashing the boards hard as well. Kristen Costello had five rebounds and Kristen Stuart and Parmese each have four.

Shannon Doody leads Lynbrook with four points. Jessy Rosen has four rebounds.

This game is far from over. If Lynbrook takes better care of the ball, this game can turn in a hurry. And anyone who saw the semifinal game against Garden City knows the Owls can build a lead quickly.

Still it's tought to rally against a team like Division, which has so many good post players, though at times free throw shooting has been a problem for the Dragons this year. It will be important for Lynbrook to come out strong and not fall too far behind.
