Outlook: Last year's county runner-up remains an excellent outside shooting team in the half-court set with Mohammed and the Sivilli sisters providing the firepower.

 

2. SHOREHAM-WADING RIVER WILDCATS

Coach: Adam Lievre

G Shannon Rosati 5-6

G Alex Hutchins 5-6

Outlook: Run a motion offense in which they read and react off each other. Clasen does a little of everything, Rosati provides a defensive presence, Rosati is the floor general.

 

3. AMITYVILLE WARRIORS

Coach: Shabue Mosley

SG Dijhea Hatcher 5-8

C Brianna Yancey 5-9

SG N'dea Maddox 5-7

SG Laniya Clarke 5-6

Outlook; A scrappy offensive team, facilitated by Thornton, encouraged to take the open shot when available. Hatcher controls the boards and has a knack for stealing the ball.

 

4. BAYPORT-BLUE POINT PHANTOMS

Coach: Toni Mulgrave

Key players

F/C Paige Faherty 5-10

F/C Shannon Brady 6-0

G Kristen Schartner 5-9

G Annalise Martin 5-7

G Emily Toy 5-5

Outlook: Good size in the frontcourt with Faherty, a double-double machine, and Brady, their best rebounder. Hoping to make playoffs after missing out by one game last year.

 

5. MILLER PLACE PANTHERS

Coach: Danielle Hazen

Key players

G Rachel Hayes 5-9

G Christine Patterson 5-9

C Andrea Iavarone 5-11

F Danielle Nook 5-10

PG Krista Deleva 5-3

Outlook: Hayes attacks the basket, Iavarone, Patterson and Nook are hard to keep off the glass. Also a strong defensive team with stopper Jill Babinsky coming off the bench.

 

6. MOUNT SINAI MUSTANGS

Coach: Mike Pappalardo

Key players

PG Victoria Johnson 5-4

C/PF Veronica Venezia 5-8

SG Jess Parente 5-4

SF Carissa Gulli 5-6

PF DJ Harloff 5-6

Outlook: Bright future for this young group with Johnson, a good outside shooter and ball handler, running the show. Talented seventh graders, Brooke Cergol and Gabby Sartori, will see time.

 

7. EAST HAMPTON BONACKERS

Coach: Howard Wood

G Jackie Nessemer 5-5

F Carley Seekamp 5-10

G Emma Newberger 5-5

F Ryann Ward 5-10

F Lexi Jones 5-9

Outlook: As one of the league's bigger teams, the Bonackers should be able to control the boards and paint, and pound the ball inside. Nessemer takes on increased scoring role.
