Despite having no field goals and nine turnovers in the first quarter, Massapequa led by eight at halftime Tuesday over Farmingdale.

Lauren Van Buren made sure the game was never in doubt after that. The senior forward scored a career-high 18 points and added 10 rebounds and Morgan Roessler had 13 points and 10 rebounds in Massapequa's 54-26 home win in Nassau Conference AA-I girls basketball.
