Mt. Sinai has been a balanced offense all year and today is no different as six different players have scored. It is clear that the Mustangs can outrun the Pirates, especially Sydney Pirreca, who bad ankle and all managed to fly past three defenders in a 30+ yard sprint up the left sideline.
The Mustang defenders are doing well and have contained Allison Cook nicely but two of Pearl River's four goals have come on free positions. If Mt. Sinai can do a better job on the defensive end they won't need to sweat this out like they did in the Suffolk final and the LIC.

A lot of whistles early on as both teams are playing aggressive defense and a bit sloppy on offense.
First news of the day is Mt. Sinai eighth grader Sydney Pirreca is playing hurt. Coach Courtney Leonard said the younger Pirreca sister rolled her left ankle in the Mustangs 12-10 win over North Shore in the LIC.
