Casey Barone, the seventh kicker in penalty kicks, converted on his attempt to give No. 11 Half Hollow Hills East a win in penalty kicks (5-4) over No. 3 Ward Melville in a Suffolk Class AA boys soccer quarterfinal Saturday. The score was tied at 1 after regulation and each team scored on three penalty kicks in round one. Will Slattery (nine saves) saved Ward Melville's seventh attempt for HHHE (13-3). Kyle Harris scored with 15 minutes left in regulation to tie it at 1 for HHHE, which will play No. 7 Half Hollow Hills West at 2 p.m. Sunday in a semifinal.

Hills West 3, Hauppauge 2: Anthony Fiorella scored on a free kick with 17 seconds remaining to win it for No. 7 Hills West (16-2) in a Suffolk Class AA quarterfinal. Cody Cao scored for HHHW with 4:45 remaining to tie the score at 2.

Brentwood 2, Bay Shore 0: Kevin Diaz and Carlos Menjivar scored for No. 1 Brentwood (18-0) in a Suffolk Class AA quarterfinal. Brentwood hosts No. 13 Smithtown West at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Smithtown West 2, Sachem North 1: Garrett Sweeney scored seven minutes into overtime for No. 13 Smithtown West (11-3-2) in a Suffolk Class AA quarterfinal. Glenn 3, Sayville 2: Vinny Piccoli had two goals to lead No. 4 Glenn (12-2-4) over No. 1 Sayville (15-3) in a Suffolk Class A semifinal. Glenn will play No. 2 East Hampton in the final .

East Hampton 3, Eastport-South Manor 2: Nick West had two goals and an assist for No. 2 East Hampton (12-3-3) in a Suffolk Class A semifinal. West scored off an assist from Donte Donegal to break a tie at 2.

Syosset 4, Port Washington 3: Scott DeBenedittis scored his second goal on a penalty kick with seven minutes left to give No. 5 Syosset (14-2-1) a 4-3 lead over No. 8 Port Washington in a Nassau Class AA semifinal. Syosset will play No. 2 Massapequa in the finals Monday.

Massapequa 1, Plainview JFK 0: Jamie Macchia scored off an assist from John Romano in the eighth minute for No. 2 Massapequa (14-1-1) in a Nassau Class AA semifinal.

Jericho 4, Glen Cove 0: Derek Medolla had two goals and one assist to lead No. 2 Jericho (16-1-1) over No. 6 Glen Cove (8-5-3) in a Nassau Class A semifinal. Jericho will play No. 8 South Side in the county final Monday.

South Side 3, Hewlett 0: Kyle Morrissey had two goals to lead No. 8 South Side (12-3-3) over No. 4 Hewlett in a Nassau Class A semifinal.

St. Anthony's 0, St. John the Baptist 0: Kyle McClancy scored the winner in the second round of penalty kicks for No. 1 St. Anthony's (15-2-2) in a win over No. 4 St. John the Baptist in a CHSAA semifinal. The Friars will host the winner of the Chaminade-Kellenberg in the final on Tuesday.

GIRLS SOCCERMassapequa 2, Mepham 0: Erica Modena scored the first goal for No. 1 Massapequa (13-3-1) in a Nassau Class AA semifinal. Massapequa will play No. 3 Calhoun in the final at 10 a.m. Monday.

Calhoun 3, Bellmore JFK 2: Michelle Iacono had two goals and an assist for No. 3 Calhoun (8-4-2) in a Nassau Class AA semifinal. Garden City 2, Clarke 0: Kayla Murphy scored two goals for No. 2 Garden City (10-2-5) in a Class A semifinal. Garden City plays the winner of South Side-Plainedge in the final at 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Cold Spring Harbor 4, Wheatley 0: Julia Schubauer scored two goals to lead No. 1 Cold Spring Harbor (13-3) over No. 4 Wheatley in a Nassau Class B semifinal. Cold Spring Harbor will host No. 3 Oyster Bay at 1:30 p.m. today in the final.

Oyster Bay 1, Carle Place 0: Sonja Draben scored in the 36th minute off an assist from Olivia Ballone to give No. 3 Oyster Bay (9-5-1) the win over No. 2 Carle Place in a Nassau Class B semifinal. Ward Melville 1, Commack 0: Ciara Guglielmo scored in the 48th minute for No. 4 Ward Melville (13-3-1) in a Suffolk Class AA semifinal. Ward Melville will play No. 3 Northport at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Northport 1, Hauppauge 0: Kristin Desmond scored on a penalty kick in the 16th minute for No. 3 Northport (15-1-2) in a Suffolk Class AA semifinal. Jess Rom made 11 saves in the win.

Sayville 4, Harborfields 2: Madison Hoon gave Sayville a 3-2 lead in the fourth minute of the first overtime for No. 1 Sayville (15-1-1), which will play No. 3 Islip at noon Sunday in the final.

Smithtown Christian 2, Livingston Manor 1: Rebecca Giancana scored in the 60th minute to break a tie at 1 for Smithtown Christian in a Class D Southeast Regional semifinal. Smithtown Christian (9-5-1) advances to the Southeast Regional finals on Tuesday in Albany.
