Democrats on the Board of Legislators are claiming County Executive Rob Astorino is holding the Westchester Children's Museum hostage.

Political rivals claim that, although Astorino says he supports the museum, he has not allowed museum officials access to the site of the future museum building.

Democrats held a news conference Thursday denouncing Astorino at Rye Playland’s North Bathhouse, where the museum is to be located.

The boardwalk in front of the planned museum spot is still in a state of disrepair following superstorm Sandy. Due to the damage, it is unclear when the museum would be able to open.
