She had six goals, four assists and four draw controls in the Cougars' first win in program history over Sacred Heart, 18-7.

WANTAGH, LACROSSE

She racked up 28 points in three games last week, including eight goals and five assists in a 20-13 win over Plainedge.

The junior scored seven goals with three assists in a 15-11 victory over Riverhead.

BAY SHORE, LACROSSE

The senior scored eight goals and added an assist in a 15-11 win over Half Hollow Hills East.

DAN HETZEL

SACHEM EAST, BASEBALL

The senior centerfielder keyed a three-game sweep over Bay Shore with three home runs, five RBIs and four runs. His two-run homer in the sixth inning gave the Flaming Arrows a 2-1 win Thursday.

KERRI SHAPIRO

EAST MEADOW, SOFTBALL

Tossed a no-hitter, struck out 10 and homered in a 6-0 win over Carey. Also went 3-for-4 with two homers, a triple and six RBIs in a 13-10 win over Massapequa.

KRISTEN BRICKER

SAYVILLE, SOFTBALL

Has homered in four consecutive wins, giving her a county-high seven home runs. During that stretch, she is 10-for-13 with 16 RBIs.

STEPHEN WOODS

HALF HOLLOW HILLS EAST, BASEBALL

He struck out 18 and allowed one hit in the seventh inning in a victory over West Islip.

JUSTIN GUTERDING

GARDEN CITY, LACROSSE

He had four assists in a win over previously unbeaten Long Beach on April 30, then scored four goals in a win over Calhoun.

SUNJA JOSEPH

SACHEM NORTH, TRACK

The junior set a school record in the triple jump at 37-101/4 in a win over Sachem East. The mark broke the previous standard of 37-63/4, according to coach Alex Young.

JUSTIN ROBINSON

HAMPTON BAYS, TRACK

The senior won the 100 meters (11.2 seconds), the 200 (23.0) and the high jump (5-8) in a win over Center Moriches.

CHRIS FIGUEROA

SOUTH SIDE, BASEBALL

Went 6-for-8 vs. Nassau A-II rival Plainedge, including a double, triple and seven RBIs.

BRANDON SHERMAN

WEST HEMPSTEAD, BASEBALL

He allowed five hits and struck out 13 in a 5-3 win in eight innings over North Shore. He also had the winning hit in the top of the eighth.
