Chaminade boys golf wins CHSAA team title

Chaminade is CHSAA boys golf champion again.

The Flyers completed the program's second straight unbeaten season, going 12-0 in league play and 13-0 overall. It is also the team's sixth league title in seven years.

Chaminade also captured the league postseason title with a victory in Tuesday's CHSAA championships.

Day 1 of the Suffolk boys Division Championships featured some familiar faces in the winner's circle, capping the county championship careers of some and continuing the legend of others.

Shoreham-Wading River’s Ryan Udvadia proved yet again that he is in a class by himself in Division III distance running. The senior won the 3,200 meters in nine minutes, 44.44 seconds Tuesday at Longwood.

Lucas Hall and Jake Doyle are more than batterymates and junior captains.

“They’re seniors with just an extra year, a bonus year,” Seaford coach Mike Milano said. “That is what they are.”
