St. Mary’s girls basketball coach Tom Flynn is always looking for a challenge.
He found one for his team at the Coaches vs. Cancer Showcase at Moore Catholic High School in Staten Island. More importantly, his team answered the challenge.

Danny McKee helped his East Hampton teammates move the ball with precision as the final seconds ticked away.
When it stopped moving, McKee stood at the top of the key with the ball in his hands waiting to make his move.

Which is why Bethpage coach Kim Rhatigan's success is all the more impressive.
Rhatigan collected the 200th victory in her 24 year career,...Read more »

Brenden Lloyd isn't just a one-man show for the Bellmore-Merrick boys’ ice hockey team.
What makes the Bulldogs a juggernaut this season is that they come at you in "Waves of Four", Lloyd said.
Meaning Bellmore-Merrick is four lines deep in its attack. There's nothing better than that from Bulldogs coach Chris Patten's perspective.
"We don't rely on just one guy," Patten said....Read more »
