Chaminade is CHSAA boys golf champion again.
The Flyers completed the program's second straight unbeaten season, going 12-0 in league play and 13-0 overall. It is also the team's sixth league title in seven years.
Chaminade also captured the league postseason title with a victory in Tuesday's CHSAA championships.

Even though Chaminade's Colin Sacco beat St. Anthony's rival Brian Hoffarth twice during the regular season, it was almost inevitable that they would meet again during the postseason.
They would play two more matches, with Sacco coming out victorious in both, including winning the CHSAA Individual championship, 7-5, 6-3 at Hofstra on Tuesday.

It's Thursday and Chaminade had a lacrosse game. In other words, Sean Cerrone scored a game-winning goal.
For the second time in eight days, a shot from Cerrone won it for the Flyers. Cerrone nailed the winner with two seconds left in overtime from 8 yards as host Chaminade edged rival St. Anthony's, 8-7, in the first match between the two CHSAA powerhouses this season.

While Chaminade now has a different coach, its top golfers and winning ways have stayed the same.
Joe Horan has taken the reigns from James Hock, who retired after leading Chaminade to a 12-0 record and CHSAA boys title last year. Led by Chris Van Praag and Kenny Doyle, Horan’s Flyers have picked up where Hock left off, and have started the season 3-0.

Chaminade standout midfielder Sam Bonafede was asked Friday afternoon, the day before the season opener against Ward Melville, who the Flyers' starting goalie would be.
He didn’t know for sure.
“It could be one of four guys,” Bonafede said. “But that’s because they’re all pretty good.”

After closing out the season 7-1 and placing second in the CHSAA championship meet, Chaminade swimming coach Angelo Pellicone is looking forward to bringing his group up to the state championship meet in Webster.
One word applies to Chaminade’s swimming squad: depth.
