Yet to drop a game to a league opponent all season, St. Anthony’s girls volleyball found itself trailing 15-7 to Kellenberg on Tuesday evening in the first game of the CHSAA championship match.

Melissa Bischoff, Kylie Danin, Aileen Fitzpatrick and LeeAnn Santore don't take it for granted that each is a member of the St. Anthony's girls swimming program.

The newly appointed captains of the St. Anthony's boys soccer team, seniors Justin Carfora and Nick Cestaro, have had no trouble motivating the bunch for the upcoming season.

Their message?

Brentwood ranked No. 23 in nation

Brentwood, the defending Long Island Class AA champion, returns this season ranked No. 23 in the Student Sports Fab 50 Fall Boys Soccer Preseason National Rankings, which were released on Aug. 12.

In their last 10 seasons, the Indians have seven undefeated league championships, eight county titles, seven Long Island titles, two state titles and one national title.
