Peterson anchored the best defensive hockey team on Long Island, earning him Newsday Player of the Year honors. Peterson went 10-1-1 this season, allowing just 13 goals in 12 regular-season games (four shutouts), and shut teams down throughout the CHSHL playoffs to lead St. Anthony's to its second consecutive league title.
