Justin Percival had the top 200 meters time on LI as of Friday, running a 23.14 at the Colonial Relays in early April. Pat Tucker still has the top mile time (4:16.99) and Frederick Buckholtz has the fastest 3,000 meter (8:58.14) and 2,000 meter steeplechase time (6:25.87) on LI, according to milesplit, com.

Defending state Class A champs move up to top spot with exciting 7-6 OT win over previous No. 1 Syosset. Ryan Tierney scored the game-winner for the Chiefs, who extended their winning streak to 29 straight games.

Gabby Marcheschi tossed a one-hitter in a 4-2 win over three-time defending CHSAA state champion Kellenberg. Thanks to a solid defense, anchored by shortstop Lexi Reale and third baseman Kim Puzo, and some timely hitting, the Friars remain unbeaten at 11-0.

5. WARD MELVILLE BASEBALL

The Patriots pitching staff allowed two runs in a three-game sweep of Floyd to improve 11-1. Joe Flynn struck out 11 in six innings in a 2-1 win Thursday.

6. BAY SHORE GIRLS TRACK

Bay Shore moved to 3-0 in League III with a 98-38 victory over Smithtown East on Tuesday. Jhanae Flythes won the 400 meter in 63.8 and Aviana Goode won the long jump.

7. DIVISION BASEBALL

The Blue Dragons averaged 13.3 runs per game in a three game sweep over Hewlett to improve to 10-0. They have a three-game series with Roslyn this week.

8. SYOSSET BOYS LACROSSE

The Braves couldn't hold a 5-3 lead late against Massapequa, but it seems likely the two offensive powerhouses will meet again in the Nassau A final. It has become one of the hottest and most intense rivalries on Long Island.

Three more wins last week have the Mustangs ranked fifth in the country, according to LaxPower. Sydney Pirreca and Rebecca Lynch each scored three goals in a 14-9 victory over Huntington, one of Suffolk's elite teams. The Mustangs have won 48 of their last 49.
