Matt Hanley's goal in overtime lifts Longwood to 11-10 win over Commack

Matt Hanley (three goals) scored the winner with eight seconds left in overtime as Longwood beat Commack, 11-10, yesterday in Suffolk Division I boys lacrosse.

Kyle Corona scooped a ground ball and passed it to Josh Harman, who set up Hanley.

Harman (two assists) had tied it at 10 off a pass from Elijah Green 2:31 left in regulation for Longwood (3-6).Sachem East 11, Floyd 10: Tom Engleken scored four goals, including the winner with 14 seconds left for Sachem East in Division I. Joe Licata's goal tied it with 1:29 remaining for the Flaming Arrows (5-5). A.J. Solomito and Licata each had two goals and an assist, and Peter DeGennaro made 10 saves in the win.Lindenhurst 7, East Islip 5: Kenny Dykstra had three goals and Carl Palladino made nine saves for Lindenhurst (6-3) in Division I.

Wheatley/Carle Place 9, West Hempstead 8: Brian Delay scored the winner off a pass from Owen Spisak three minutes into overtime for Wheatley/Carle Place (4-6) in non-league. Delay and Spisak each scored four goals.Lynbrook 7, Oceanside 6: Drew Torre's goal with 6:53 left gave Lynbrook a 7-4 lead in non-league. Gordon Purdie had two goals for the Owls (6-4).

Chaminade 5, St. Ignatius College Prep 4 (Calif.): Ryan Lukacovic had three goals and an assist and his tally with three minutes left in the third quarter gave Chaminade a 5-2 lead in non-league. Dan Fowler made nine saves for the Flyers (9-0). Chaminade is ranked second in the country and St. Ignatius was 16th.

St. Anthony's 9, Iona 8: Matt Koerner (five goals) scored the winner with 2:40 left for St. Anthony's (7-2) in non-league. Greg Galligan's goal, off a pass from Koerner, had tied it with five minutes left. Dylan Molloy added three assists.girls lacrosseSayville 7, Harborfields 5: Madison Hoon had two goals, an assist, six ground balls and four draw controls to lead Sayville (8-2) in Division II. Taylor Mills added three goals. Oliva Russell (two goals) scored with 6:30 remaining to give the Golden Flashes a 6-5 lead. Sarah Crowley scored five goals, each assisted by Christina Turner, for Harborfields (5-4).

Mount Sinai 14, Shoreham-Wading River 8: Kasey Mitchell had four goals and Shayna Pirreca had three assists and nine draw controls for Mt. Sinai (10-0) in Division II. Danielle Dellarocca added three goals.

Eastport-South Manor 9, Rocky Point 3: Kristin Anderson had three goals, an assist and had seven draw controls to lead Eastport-South Manor (6-3) in Division II. Comsewogue 13, Islip 8: Stefani Vagelatos had three goals and two assists and Kim Bolk made 12 saves for Comsewogue (4-5) in Division II.

East Meadow 11, Clarke 8: Kristina Sanicola had three goals and Lindsey Hoffman made 17 saves for East Meadow (6-1) in Conference III. Jaida Zabala forced six turnovers for the Jets.

Calhoun 14, Bethpage 6: Lea Sanders and Nora Charidah each had four goals for Calhoun (5-0) in Conference III.Wheatley 17, Valley Stream District 11: Julia Balboni and Maria Mazzola each had five goals for Wheatley (5-1) in Conference V.Long Island Lutheran 18, St. Dominic 7: Nicole Sinacori had seven goals and two assists and her twin, Danielle, had four goals and four assists for Lutheran (5-4) in non-league.
