Roundup: Paula Spatz and Chasity Byrd lead Roslyn in girls basketball

Paula Spatz had 14 points and Chasity Byrd had eight points, including a three-pointer with less than a minute left, to help lift Roslyn to a 51-46 win over Jericho in a Nassau Conference A-I girls basketball game Monday. Byrd's three gave Roslyn (1-5) a 47-46 lead. Callie Migden had nine points and nine rebounds in the win. Amanda Levenberg led Jericho with 14 points.

Friends Academy 46, Oyster Bay 36: Krystina Iordanou had 17 points and Lindsay O'Sullivan had 15 points to lead Friends Academy (4-3) in Conference BC.BOYS BASKETBALL

Solomon Schechter 46, Waldorf 42: Jacob Katz (12 points) hit a jumper and Sam Eiber made a foul shot in the final minute to cap the scoring for Solomon Schechter (6-0) in IPPSAL. Plainedge 3, Division 0: Meghan Wing bowled a 234 in game three of a 662 series for Plainedge (12-0) in a 584-510, 623-589, 630-526 win in Conference VII. Plainedge will be the No. 4 seed in the Nassau team playoffs on Feb. 2.
