1. SACHEM EAST FIELD HOCKEY

The Flaming Arrows allowed a goal. And that's noteworthy because it's only the second time that has occurred this season. Sachem East won both of its games last week, and the 3-1 victory over Northport was its narrowest margin of victory since last season. The two-time defending Class A state champs have won 34 straight games.

The Golden Tornadoes extended their winning streak to 15 with a 40-27 win over Sewanahaka. Quarterback Joe Capobianco connected with wide receiver Jordan Fredericks for four touchdown passes.

3. SACHEM NORTH FOOTBALL

Senior halfback Malik Pierre had three touchdowns, including a 46-yard interception return, as the Flaming Arrows beat Longwood 49-32. Pierre's 74-yard fourth quarter scoring run sealed the win.

4. ST. ANTHONY'S BOYS SOCCER

Justin Carfora's unassisted goal in the 67th minute won it for the Friars in their CHSAA game against Kellenberg. Jake Giuffrida and Michelangelo Sini continue to score seemingly at will.

5. MILLER PLACE FIELD HOCKEY

The Panthers added two more wins last week, beating Bayport-Blue Point and rival Rocky Point. The defending Long Island Class B champs are 7-0 and have begun to separate themselves from the pack in Suffolk Division III.

6. HALF HOLOW HILLS EAST GIRLS TENNIS

Stephanie Chikvashvili won at second singles in Hills East's 6-1 victory over Ward Melville last Monday, kicking off a stretch of three non-league wins for Hills East last week, against Ward Melville, Mt. Sinai and Kings Park.

7. MASSAPEQUA GIRLS SOCCER

The Chiefs remained the lone unbeaten team in Conference AA-I after Taylor Kugler scored the game winner with four minutes left to play in a 3-2 win over second-placed Calhoun. The defending county champs erased a 2-0 halftime deficit, tying the score on Nicole Mahin's goal with 11 minutes to go.

8. ST. ANTHONY'S BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

The Friars strong future showed up at the Jim Smith Invitational at Sunken Meadow. Freshman John Schultz finished 10th in 9:52.77 on the 1.5 mile feshman course. Earlier this season, St. Anthony's won the Under the Lights Invitational in Randolph, N.J. Louis Santelli won the 5K race in 15 minutes, 51 seconds. Joseph Tucker finished third in 15:58.35.

9. SOUTH SIDE GIRLS SOCCER

The defending state champs have rolled since their draw in the league opener, winning six straight. Allie Ford scored her first varsity goal in a 3-1 win over Bellmore JFK and Keri Cavallo knocked in the winner in off an assist from Katie Ford in a 2-1 win over Clarke.

10. BABYLON FOOTBALL

Quarterback Nick Santorelli completed nine of 10 passes and threw for two touchdowns in a 42-0 win over Port Jefferson. It was the Panthers' 15th straight win.
