Shoreham-Wading River's Aimee Manfredo wins girls tennis title

Top seed Aimee Manfredo of Shoreham-Wading River defeated No. 2 Jackie Bukzin from Eastport-South Manor, 6-4, 6-3, Tuesday to capture her second straight Suffolk Division IV girls tennis singles championship.

East Hampton's second-seeded duo of Daniella Dunphy and Jillian Neubert beat Westhampton's Aimee Kandell and Claudia Purkis, 6-3, 6-4, for the Division IV doubles championship.

Port Washington 5, Garden City 2:Chloe Klug and Alex Larazadeh beat Liz Gee and Leslie Wann, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1, in the clinching third-doubles match for No. 2 Port Washington (12-3) in a Nassau Conference I semifinal. Port Washington will play No. 1 Syosset in the championship at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Wheatley.

St. Mary's 4, St. John the Baptist 3: Kayla Nunez Castro defeated Chrissy Brown, 6-0, 6-1, in the deciding first singles match to lead No. 1 St. Mary's (9-0) in a CHSAA semifinal. Rocio Marriquin defeated Megan McGlynm, 6-2, 6-1, at second singles. St. Mary's will play the winner of St. Dominic/Our Lady of Mercy Academy in the final Wednesday.BOYS SOCCER

Amityville 2, Bayport-Blue Point 0: Daniel Turcios scored off a pass from Silder Reyes 3:30 into the second half to give Amityville (5-2-2) a 1-0 lead in Suffolk League VI. Ryan Doyle also scored for the Warriors, who clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 1986. Carlos Ramirez had an assist and Ronald Herrera had six saves in the win. Commack 1, Patchogue-Medford 0: Erin Neville scored on a shot from 30 yards with 1:07 left in the game to win it for Commack (6-4) in Suffolk League I. Samantha Miller had seven saves, including a stop on a breakaway midway through the second half. Ashley Monzillo had 13 saves for Patchogue-Medford. Hauppauge 1, Kings Park 0: Juliette Loccisano scored with 5:04 left in the second overtime to lead Hauppauge (9-0) in League IV. Diana Poulin made 15 saves in the shutout. Bellmore JFK 2, East Meadow 1: Franki Priore passed a through ball to Krista Trinidad, who scored with 12 minutes left in the first half to give Bellmore JFK (4-6-2) a 2-0 lead in Nassau Conference AA-I. Jen Alfonsi also scored for Bellmore JFK. Hewlett 2, Valley Stream South 1: Goalkeeper Nathalie Nidetch scored the winner on a penalty kick with three minutes left to win it for Hewlett (5-2-2) in Conference A-III. Val DeNapoli scored five minutes earlier to tie it for Hewlett.
