1. Bay Shore (12-0)- Last Monday’s 4-2 win over Longwood was perhaps their most impressive win to date. Against Floyd the following day, Michelle DeVito went 5-for-5 as the Maruaders cruised to a 15-2 win.
2. Longwood (10-1)- Sierra Noud worked out of a bases-loaded with no-out jam in the top of the seventh of Monday’s 2-1 win over Sachem East; a big win following last week’s loss to Bay Shore.
3. East Islip (10-1)- EI has won five straight since losing to Smithtown East, outscoring their opponents 50-7during that stretch. Alyssa Groneman and Lindsey Zenk combine to form a 1-2 offensive punch, while pitcher Courtney Blake is a bona fide ace.
4. Smithtown West (8-3)- Previously unranked, SW crashes the rankings based on their one-run wins over Hauppauge and Half Hollow Hills West. Melissa Koster (7-3) can dominate opponents on the circle and at the plate.
5. Babylon (11-0)- Disregard the “small school” label, as the Panthers are among Suffolk’s elite, regardless of enrollment size. Tiana Giuliano has been electric on the mound, while Christine Desiderio and Nicole Marro have paced a lineup that has scored at least 10 runs nine times.
6. Hauppauge (9-2)
7. Sayville (11-1)
8. Commack (10-2)
9. Half Hollow Hills West (9-3)
10. East Hampton (10-1)
