1. ST. ANTHONY'S GIRLS LACROSSE

Kerri Puckhaber scored five goals and Izzy Mangan had four goals and two assists as the Friars beat St. John the Baptist, 17-6, in a season-opening rematch of last year's CHSAA Class A final. St. Anthony's was challenged on a road trip to Virginia where they beat Georgetown Visitation, 11-10, the fourth-ranked team in the country, according to LaxPower.

The Bulls' depth is impressive. Alex DiSalvo has emerged as a capable contributor with three goals in a win over West Islip. They will be tested Friday when they host physical Sachem North.

3. CHAMINADE BOYS LACROSSE

The Flyers will carry a spotless record into their first meeting with rival St. Anthony's Thursday. Matt Isnardi continues to play well in the net with 14 saves against West Islip.

4. MANHASSET GIRLS LACROSSE

Lindsey Ronbeck scored five goals and Julia Glynn added four goals and three assists in the Indians' 16-5 win over Long Beach. Manhasset has dominated each of its three games and is ranked No. 3 nationally. The road ahead becomes more challenging after losing All-American Natalie Stefan to a torn ACL.

5. EAST MEADOW SOFTBALL

A 3-0 week for the defending Long Island champions was highlighted by Crista San Antonio's game-tying RBI single in the fifth and go-ahead double in the 10th in an 11-7 win over MacArthur. Sandra Foster and Jessica Laird each had two hits and an RBI in a 4-0 win over Oceanside.

6. MACARTHUR BASEBALL

Led by Adam Heidenfelder, the Generals' pitching prowess is indisputable. They've allowed only one run in their first three games while No. 2 Nick Mannarino has proved a revelation. He combined with Heidenfelder for a two-hitter in the season opener and then allowed two hits over six innings in a 5-1 win over Syosset.

7. CHAMINADE BOYS TRACK

Chaminade won the 4 x 1,600-meter relay in 19:34.29 and the 4 x 400-meter relay in 3:41.63 at the CHSAA Relay Carnival. After winning cross country and winter track CHSAA intersectional championships, the Flyers are going for the triple crown.

8. CONNETQUOT SOFTBALL

Kristina Balsano powered the Thunderbirds to a 3-0 week. She went 3-for-3 in an 8-4 win over Northport, hit a two-run single in a 4-3 win over Patchogue-Medford and went 2-for-3 with a home run in an 11-6 win over Floyd.

9. HALF HOLLOW HILLS WEST BASEBALL

Hard-throwing Aaron Glickstein, Tom DiGiorgi and Jon Faraci have put themselves in the mix for top pitching rotation on Long Island. The Colts are off to a 5-0 start.

10. GARDEN CITY MAROON GIRLS GOLF

Eight-time defending county champion Garden City Maroon opened its season with a 7-2 win over Cold Spring Harbor. Sophomore Isabel Klatt shot a 39 (+4) on the front nine of the Garden City CC.
