Olivia Chan

Sewanhaka, Soph.

Chan, who swims for Sewanhaka and attends New Hyde Park, won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.21) at the Public High School state championships and placed second in the 200-IM (2:03.95). She won the 200-IM (2:03.10) and 100-breaststroke (1:03.60) at the Nassau Championships, both in county record times. She was also part of the winning 200-medley relay (1:51.28).

Casey Francis

Sacred Heart, Soph.

Francis swam the lead leg on the first-place 400-freestyle relay (3:32.69) at the Federation state championships. She also placed fourth in the 200-IM (2:07.28) and fifth in the 500-freestyle (4:58.11). At the CHSAA finals, Francis was named co-MVP.

Nicole Hetzer

Connetquot, Soph.

Hetzer was part of two state championship relays, swimming the anchor leg on the 200-freestyle relay (1:36.57) and as part of the 200-medley relay (1:46.42). At the Suffolk championships, she won the 200-IM (2:09.03) and 100-freestyle (53.63) and was part of the winning 200-medley relay (1:49.26) and 200-freestyle relay (1:37.23), both county record times.

Nicole Honey

Herricks, Sr.

Honey placed second at the Federation state championships in diving (501.10 points). But her big moment of the year came on Nov. 3 when she recorded a 543.10 total at the Nassau diving finals, finishing first and breaking the 20-year old county record. She scored more than 52 points in five of the dives and never scored below a 39.20.
