Taylah Hudson scores 31 points to lift Glen Cove

Sophomore Taylah Hudson had a career-high 31 points, including an off-balance runner from the free-throw line with eight seconds left, to give Glen Cove a 64-62 win over Lawrence in girls non-league basketball Monday.

Tristyn Hudson hit a three-pointer to tie the game seconds earlier as Glen Cove (4-2) overcame a 10-point fourth quarter deficit. Taylah Hudson added seven steals, three assists and three rebounds and scored 12 points in a 22-15 fourth quarter. Brittany Brown chipped in 10 points and 17 rebounds in the win.

Nicole Robinson led Lawrence with 23 points.


Bridgehampton 60, Southold 44: Freshman Joshua Lamison had 21 points and 12 rebounds and freshman Tyleke Furman had 24 points for Bridgehampton (1-3) in Suffolk League VIII. BOYS BOWLING

Plainview JFK 164.25, Carle Place 140.45: Melissa Kropf won the vault (8.3), the floor (8.9) and the all-round (33.45) to lead Plainview JFK (2-0) in Nassau Conference I. Katrina Migliorini won the bars with a 7.8 and Victoria Vitale took first in the beam (9.0) in the victory.
