Yaraghi reached the state championship match and made his second state semifinal appearance, finishing second to Levine in both the State and Nassau individual tournaments. Yaraghi beat Shah in the state semifinals. Yaraghi will play for Amherst in the fall.

Levine marked the end of an outstanding high school tennis career by winning his second consecutive state singles championship, beating Andrew Yaraghi of Friends Academy 6-3, 6-2 in the finals. Levine also beat Yaraghi in the Nassau singles championship match 6-4, 6-4. As Cold Spring Harbor’s top singles player, Levine led the Seahawks to their fifth consecutive Long Island Championship, beating Hills East for the third year in a row. Levine will play for Duke in the fall.

Doubles with Ethan Bogard
Barry and Bogard won the Nassau doubles championship and finished third at the state championships, reaching the semifinals. Barry and Bogard were also undefeated as singles players during the regular season.

Davidow and Sacher were second behind Barry and Bogard at the Nassau individual championships, but still qualified for states and reached the quarterfinals. The North Shore pair won three matches on the final day at states to earn a fourth-place medal.

Davidow and Sacher were second behind Barry and Bogard at the Nassau individual championships, but still qualified for states and reached the quarterfinals. The North Shore pair won three matches on the final day at states to earn a fourth-place medal.

Shah was a state-semifinalist for the first time and finished fourth. Shah beat Suffolk singles champion Jeremy Dubin in the first round of the state championships, and was third at Nassau’s individual championships.

Ward Melville
Sussin led Ward Melville to an 18-1 record, going undefeated in the regular season to earn the No. 2 seed in the Suffolk playoffs. The Patriots reached the Suffolk Championship match for the first time since 1998, and lost their only match of the season to the three-time defending county champions, Half Hollow Hills East; Hills East had five all-state players, while Ward Melville had none.
