Delia Phillips, Smithtown East, Jr., Outside Hitter

Phillips had 328 kills and 40 blocks for the Class AA semifinalists. And when the Bulls needed her most, she raised the level of her play. Against Ward Melville in a Suffolk semifinal, she tallied 42 kills, nine digs and five blocks. And in a non-league win against eventual Long Island champion Lindenhurst on Sept. 27, she notched 39 kills. She had 27 kills and four blocks in the Class AA quarterfinal against Copiague.

Samantha Parente, Bellport

, Sr., Middle Hitter

Parente set single-season school records for blocks (145) and kills (333) helping Bellport to its first Suffolk championship. She notched 21 kills and 10 blocks in a five-set win over defending champion East Hampton in the Class A final.

Melissa Rigo, Glenn, Jr. Outside Hitter

Rigo led the Spiders in aces (75), kills (281) and digs (279) as Glenn won its 10th straight Suffolk title. She won her second straight League VII Defensive Player of the Year and county final MVP award while being a Suffolk County Elite 8 selection. An all-state and all-county pick, Rigo had 18 kills in the Long Island final against Floral Park.

Alexa Zbytniewski, Glenn, Sr. Setter

A three-team all-state selection and four-year starter, she has a 68-0 record in best-of-five matches and a combined match record of 97-10. In her career, she recorded 276 aces, 1763 assists, 404 kills and 512 digs. She will play at Binghamton University.

Emily Clemens, Lindenhurst , So., Setter

Clemens won League II player of the year, all-county and Suffolk Class AA Tournament MVP honors for the Long Island champions. In the LI final against Massapequa, she notched 26 assists and eight digs.

Alyssa Marchino, Lindenhurst , Jr., Outside Hitter

An all-county, all-county tournament team and all-state tournament team selection, Marchino had 13 kills and five aces in the Suffolk final win against Ward Melville.

Jenny Ilibassi, Wantagh , Jr., Outside Hitter

Ilibassi's timely offense helped Wantagh go unbeaten through a tough Long Island slate, which culminated in an upset win over Bellport in the Class A final. She also made the Class A state tournament team.

Mariel Metalios, St. Anthony's, Sr., Setter

The CHSAA player of the year, Metalios had 673 assists and 63 digs as the Friars won their second straight State title. She saved her best for last, as she had 35 assists in the state final win over Sacred Heart of Buffalo.

Michele Impellizeri, St. Anthony's, Sr., Middle Hitter

An imposing force in the middle, Impellizeri had 204 kills and 136 blocks for a Friars team that did not drop a set all season. She had 15 blocks in a state semifinal match against Holy Trinity, and 10 kills and 10 blocks in the state final.

Haley Blunt, Ward Melville , Sr., Outside Hitter

Blunt is a three-time all-county player with 704 career kills, 175 aces and a school-record .291 hitting percentage. During her four years on varsity, the Patriots lost only four best-of-five matches.

Sam Berna, Massapequa , Sr. Outside Hitter

Berna's versatility on the outside helped the Chiefs cruise to an undefeated regular season and an 11th straight Nassau title. Against East Meadow in the semifinal, Berna's all-court talents were displayed, as she totaled eight kills, seven digs, five blocks and four aces.
