Jamel Hudson to perform one-man show Friday

Jamel Hudson, the 132-pound senior from St. Anthony's, sees himself as a much more than a wrestler. He fashions himself a throwback, a singer and dancer reminiscent of Sammy Davis Jr.

On Friday, you can see him for yourself.

Hudson will perform a variety show in the St. Anthony's auditorium at 7 p.m. He will sing, dance and play guitar. Over the summer, he performed a variation of this show at The Town Hall of Islip, although he says he is planning on breaking out new material for the home crowd.

Here is a video of an 8-year-old Jamel auditioning for "American Juniors," a short-lived spinoff of "American Idol", back in 2003:
