Devin Laube's third goal tied it at 7 with 25 seconds left in regulation for the Hurricanes (1-0). Harrison Aponte had two assists and Patrick Dean made 11 saves. Sayville's Jason Intermesoli had two goals and two assists.

Port Jefferson 16, Southampton/Ross 6: Max Scandale had four goals and an assist and Brian Mark had two goals and four assists to lead Port Jefferson (1-1), which earned its first victory in the program's inaugural season. Thomas Mark, Taylor Chiarelli and Chandler Sciara each added three goals for the Royals in Suffolk League IV. Middle Country 10, Commack 9: Bob Emerson scored off a feed from Zach Harned to give Middle Country a 10-8 lead with 3:38 left in League I.
