Courtney Bertolone is a defensive midfielder who can control the field. She had four goals and 19 assists and helped her team to a 12-4 record in Suffolk Division I.
SHAYLYN BLANEY
Ward Melville
Midfielder, Senior
This three-time All-Long Island selection can take over a game. Shaylan Blaney had 15 goals and nine assists this season. She will attend Notre Dame on a lacrosse scholarship.
JAIME BOURAZERIS
New Hyde Park
Midfielder, Senior
A two-time All-Long Island selection, Jaime Bourazeris had seven goals and nine assists for the Gladiators, who lost to Garden City in the Nassau Class B playoffs. The captain of last summer's Empire State Long Island team, she also plays basketball and lacrosse.
ERIN BRENNAN
Garden City
Midfielder, Junior
Erin Brennan, who is a two-time All-Long Island selection, played the center midfield position well this season as she recorded five goals and 15 assists. Her speed and passing in transition make her one of the best.
CATIE DE STIO
North Shore
Midfielder, Senior
Catie De Stio, a two-time All-Long Island pick, had eight goals and nine assists and helped lead her team to the Nassau Class B semifinals. She is excellent because of her strength, speed, and stickwork, She will play at Cornell next year.
LIZZIE DRUMM
Friends Academy
Midfielder, Senior
Lizzie Drumm, who was a four-year starter, is graceful on and off the field, a strong leader and has great stickwork and field sense. She had 15 goals and 10 assists as she helped her team to a second straight appearance in the Class C state semifinals. She is headed to Princeton on a lacrosse scholarship.

Hampton Bays
Midfielder, Junior
Genna Kovar completed her third year on varsity and is a two-time All-Long Island pick. She had 13 goals and eight assists as a center midfielder this season.
MARISSA LAMANNO
Suffolk Player of the Year
Sayville
Forward, Senior
Marissa Lamanno, who is Newsday's Suffolk Player of the Year, had 15 goals and nine assists this season for the Suffolk Class B champion Golden Flashes. Her performance in clutch situations - scoring four game-winning goals in the playoffs - helped the team to its first county title in school history.
MEGAN McGUIRE
Massapequa
Forward, Senior
Megan McGuire had 17 goals and two assists in leading the Chiefs to the Class A state semifinals. Her teammates named the co-captain the team's MVP and offensive player of the year. She has been on varsity since seventh grade.
CAITLIN MULLINS
Long Island Player of the Year
Garden City
Midfielder, Senior
The Newsday Player of the Year is a two-time All-Long Island and All-State selection as well as a state champion. She finished with 11 goals and 15 assists and served as a tri-captain for a team that won its second straight state championship, this time in Class B. She will play field hockey at Columbia.
DANIELLE SCICUTELLA
Massapequa
Goalie, Junior
In her first year on varsity, Danielle "Sicky" Scicutella made 123 saves and allowed only 33 goals with three shutouts and won the sportsmanship award in the state tournament.
CAROLINE SEERY
Garden City
Defender, Senior
Caroline Seery had eight goals and five assists this season. She shared inserting duties with Mullins with her solid and consistent hits. Her poise and confidence on defense added to her stick skills and game smarts, showing a young Garden City defense how it should be done. She will play lacrosse at Columbia.
BETHANY SEMLEAR
Pierson
Forward, Senior
This University of Connecticut-bound senior had 13 goals and five assists for Pierson. Bethany Semlear also won the Nancy Cole Award, given by the Suffolk Field Hockey Coaches Association to a player who is dedicated to the game, shows leadership, is a good student and is respected by opponents as well as teammates.
ELISE TERRACCIANO
Garden City
Forward, Senior
Elise Terracciano was a tri-captain and led the team in scoring with 21 goals and 17 assists. She was everywhere on the field and most of the time unstoppable. She will play lacrosse at Syracuse.

of the Year
Massapequa
Even after losing 10 players, eight of which were starters, to graduation, Tisha Werner says she grew as a coach, finding new ways to help her team get to the Class A state semifinals.
BETTY MARTIN
Suffolk Coach of the Year
Sayville
Betty Martin did not stop smiling all season and for good reason. She guided her team to a 17-5 record and its first Suffolk Class B title in school history.
