<b>Long Island Runner of the Year</b><br>
Lipari emerged as the best long distance runner on Long Island this season. She took first overall at the state championships and at the Federation championship. At the state meets she had the best time of the day with a time of 17:31.6. She qualified for the Foot Locker Cross Country National Finals in San Diego by finishing in the top 10 at the Northeast Regional. She competed in San Diego with 80 of the nation's elite high school cross country runners and capped her season by placing sixth with a time of 17:46. At the 5K mark, Lipari was sixth out of the country’s top 40 runners.
