Highlights: Fresh off a state indoor championship in the 1,500 meters, she ran a personal-best 4:54.55 in the mile at the Penn Relays on April 24 and followed that last Saturday with another personal best of 10:01.7 in the 3,000 in the Bob Pratt Invitational at Smithtown West.

Future occupation: Medicine or media arts
Goal: To win another state title in either the 3,000 or 1,500 and to get personal bests in each event. Marshall also hopes to finish in the top three at Nationals.
She said it: "It really is an awesome feeling," she said, referring to her consecutive personal-best times. "After the 3,000 event, I was jumping for joy. My previous best was 10:22 in the winter and when I ran it again \, I got trampled during a race. I knew I was going to PR that day. But I got a 21-second PR and it felt effortless."
Future: Running cross country and track at Columbia this fall.
