Track and field roundup: Huntington wins title

Fritz Barreau won the shot put (48-7) and finished second in the discus (137-0) to lead Huntington (6-0) to the League V championship.

Harborfields 74, East Hampton 58: Ralph Murphey, Vincent Bond, Ryan Feeney and Jamel Johnson won the 4 x 400 in 3:36 and Michael Shea won the mile (4:47), the two-mile (10:29) and was a part of the winning 4 x 800 team to lead Harborfields.

GIRLS TRACK

Glenn 99, Southampton 31: Caitlin Schlachter won the 200-meter dash in 26.6 seconds and Jackie Wild took the 400 hurdles in 1:12.3 for Glenn (2-4).

Mt. Sinai 90, Miller Place 60: Sarah Jansen won the long jump (16-3 1/2), the triple jump (35-9 1/4) and the high jump (4-10) for visiting Mount Sinai.
