A look at Long Island's best boys and girls track & field athletes from the 2008 season.

ALL LONG ISLAND BOYS TRACK TEAM

Nicholas Guscott
Baldwin | Senior

Federation champion in the 100. Ran the fastest 100-meter time (10.3) on Long Island at the Bulldog Invitational. Ran 10.6 at the Nassau state qualifiers and helped the Bruins qualify for the state meet in the 4 x 100 (42.6). County AAA champion in the 100 (10.7) and 200 (21.7).

Kyle Merber
Half Hollow Hills West | Senior

Gatorade Runner of the Year for New York, Merber was the County champion in the 3,200 and won the Suffolk state qualifier in the mile. Won the mile (4:12.81) at the Loucks games and the 800 at the St. Anthony's Invitational. Took fifth in the mile (4:15.36) at the Penn Relays.

Miles Lewis
Middle Country | Junior

Was a Division I champion in four events (100, 200, 4x100, Long Jump) and qualified for the state championships in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the 4 x 100. Ran a personal-best 21.9 in the 200 at the qualifiers.

Louis Day
Holy Trinity | Senior

Won the shot put (53-6) at the St. Anthony's Invitational and captured the CHSAA Inter-sectional shot put (54-51/4) title. Won the Long Island CHSAA discus (164-5) and shot put (55-1/4) titles. Took first in the shot put at the Paul Limmer Invitational. Took seventh overall at the Penn Relays in the discus (160-5).

Terrance Livingston
Great Neck South | Junior

A Federation champion in the 800, Livingston also took first in the 800 at the Loucks games. Nassau County AA champion in the 400, 400 hurdles and the long jump. Won the state qualifier in the 800 and ran the anchor leg of the state qualifying 4 x 800 team.

Chris Parker
Mepham | Senior

Topped off a great career by winning the 110 hurdles at the Federation championships. Took first in the 110 hurdles at the state qualifier and the Class AA championships. Was Division 2B champion in the 110 hurdles and 100-meter dash.
