Boston won the series opener, 1-0 in overtime.
The Capitals evened the series with a double-overtime win in Game 2.
The Bruins beat Washington, 4-3, in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead.
Washington earned a 2-1 victory in Game 4 to tie the series 2-2.
The Capitals won Game 5, 4-3.
The Bruins beat the Washington Capitals, 4-3, in Game 6.
In overtime of Game 7, Joel Ward netted the winner, giving the Capitals the series win.
