Experts predict NHL lockout could cost LI big money

WOODBURY - – It is day two of the NHL lockout and it could cost Long Island big money.

Business experts tell Newsday that the Island’s economy could lose $60 million if the lockout lasts the whole season.

If there aren’t any games, restaurants and even hotels for miles around the Nassau Coliseum could lose substantial business. This is the second NHL lockout in the last eight years.

No new talks are scheduled.
