Islanders making assistant coaching changes
Coming off a last-place season in which they lost a league-leading 582 man games to injury, the Islanders have mutually agreed to part ways with strength and conditioning coach Chris Schwarz. Assistant coach Dan Lacroix also has been let go as part of a plan to add a former defenseman with Islanders ties to coach Scott Gordon's staff.
