DiPietro OK after first start - so Gordon thinks
Rick DiPietro apparently had no ill effects from playing for the Islanders' AHL affiliate in Bridgeport on Saturday, though coach Scott Gordon would like to have heard that himself from his goaltender.
"I called Rick but I guess his cell phone doesn't work in Bridgeport,'' Gordon joked after yesterday's practice at IceWorks. "I called him late after .''
DiPietro is expected to play in two more games before returning to the Islanders. The Islanders may be targeting Dec. 19 vs. Montreal as a return date.
