17-year veteran Mike Sillinger is hanging up the skates, the Islanders just announced.
"Mike has and always will be a tremendous ambassador for this game," Isles GM Garth Snow said in a release. "He is a born leader in everything he does, and on the behalf of the New York Islanders, I wish him and his family the very best in the future."
