Evgeni Nabokov gets a night off
“Half of this game is the mental part,” Nabokov said after the morning skate. “You get in a groove, you just need to take care of yourself mentally. Physical part is not that hard, really.”
So Nabokov, who has started 15 of the last 16 games for the Isles -- and, if you’re looking big picture, he’s started 40 of the 46 games so far -- is not concerned about playing Friday night in Buffalo and however many more are on the horizon.
The Flyers have plenty of physical players, still echoing the Broad Street Bullies era; Capuano is likely more concerned that the Flyers are already eliminated from the playoff picture and could be much more willing to take liberties with so little to play for.
