Frans Nielsen Injury report, Rookie Game highlights and tonight's lineup

Update: Frans Nielsen is heading back to New York today to get his right knee evaluated.  Nielsen suffered the injury in practice Tuesday and the Islanders expect to have an update on him sometime Thursday.

Islanders beat the University of Saskatchewan Huskies 5-3 during the Rookie Game Tuesday night in Prince Albert.

First star of the game goes to Tomas Marcinko, who had a goal and two assists. Tony Romano, Tyler Haskins, Anton Klementyev also scored for the Islanders.

Here's the lineup for tonight's (Wednesday) game against the Oiler. YES, it includes John Tavares :)

Forwards: Doug Weight, John Tavares, Sean Bergenheim, Joel Rechlicz, Casey Cizikas, Justin DiBenedetto, Nate Thompson, Tyler Haskins, Robin Figren, Richard Park, Jon Sim, Jesse Joensuu.

Defensemen: Andy Sutton, Dustin Kohn, Calvin de Haan, Bruno Gervais, Freddy Meyer, Travis Hamonic

Goalies: Nathan Lawson, Mikko Koskinen

The Islanders will be flying commercially to Edmonton this morning, just for the ease logistically because it's pre-season and also a short flight. They'll be chartering back from Calgary.

Are you happy with the Islanders' goalie situation?

Yes No It's okay, but they need to improve it in-season
