Greg Mauldin back down to Bridgeport; Isles call up Micheal Haley

Islanders have recalled Micheal Haley on an emergency basis for tonight's game against the Devils.

From what I remember about Haley (and yes, his first name is spelled "Micheal" not Michael), is that he's not a huge guy, but he's tough as nails. Willing to fight ANYone and he can definitely scrap.

Haley has six goals and eight assists in 65 games with Bridgeport this season.

After making his Isles NHL debut Thursday in Pittsburgh, Greg Mauldin has been returned to Bridgeport, a good sign that Richard Park (eye injury) will play tonight.

Speaking of Bridgeport, they came up with a big 6-3 win over the Lowell Devils last night, inching them closer to a spot in the Calder Cup playoffs. Jesse Joensuu had a hat trick and Nate Lawson turned aside 31 shots.  If the Sound Tigers earn at least one point or Norfolk loses (in regulation or OT), they'll clinch a spot in the post-season picture.
