Islanders trade prospect Hennigar to Carolina

The Islanders traded prospect Rob Hennigar for Bobby Hughes, a prospect in Carolina's system.
Hennigar played 38 games for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers last season (combined regular season and playoffs). Hennigar, a center, scored three goals and had 10 assists during the regular season and scored a goal in four playoff games.
He also played 38 games for the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL last season (15 goals and 44 assists).
Hughes played 27 games for the Albany River Rats of the AHL last season, scoring four goals and compiling three assists. He also played two games with the Florida Everblades last season, with just one assist.
