Richard Park has good memories of LI, then makes another

Richard Park had a big goal and a huge role for the Penguins against his former team in his former home. His goal 21 seconds into the second period was important in giving the Penguins the momentum. It also gave them a 2-0 lead on the way to a 3-0 win over the Islanders at the Coliseum.

So what was it like, being in the other locker room in Uniondale?  "It was kind of awkward, to be honest in the warm-ups, and a little bit in the first. I’ve got very fond memories of this city, the team, the organization. That’s no hidden secret, but life goes on," he said.

It is a whole different mindset from the one he had as he helped the Islanders try to build.  "It’s not easy. The expectation here is very, very high. I understand what we’re trying to accomplish, but it’s not going to come overnight. I’m trying to absorb as much information as possible and getting better and better and getting more and more comfortable."
